Orctober – Ironjawz, Gorkamorka Nobz and Giant Black Orcs

Stompahs boyz, lead by two MM27 Giant Black Orcs. Bulk of the Ironjawz are Gorkamorka Nobz bodies with Ironjawz heads. Have 15 more that needs rebasing and touching up. Quite look forward to it, they will be a formidable force.

Since these are the last hours of Orctober normal posting intervall will resume.

There might be some more greenskins around the corner, but there will also be other stuff. In less than four weeks Necromunda will hit the shelves, this is great news indeed. From what I’ve gathered from the game play videos so far, they’ve done a great job.

 

Orctober: On the desk

Doing a 1000 pts Destruction force for an Age of Sigmar tournament this weekend.

My original plan was to do about 82 miniatures but then the new Generals Handbook came.

New plan will be an orc shaman as general, 40 grots and 3 ogors as battleline. To that i will have 3 trolls, 3 Gore gruntas and a unit of ardboyz. Plus a gobbo big boss. That makes it 61 models instead. Thats fine.

Plan is to present the units properly in individual posts but also put some of them up here already.
This is my cavalry, the general plus Gore gruntas.

Next are the Sourbreath Troggoths, not the sharpest knives in the toolshed. I call them the Stinktank. The’ve been rebased, touched up and varnished since I played with them last time.

Here is also some ogres, Mooch’s Bunch, since they are lead by the Ogre Captain Mooch. The model is Hrothyogg, the C23 ogre Captain, sculpted by Jes Goodwin. Probably my favourite ogre model. The other two are from Reaper Miniatures, part of the Bones3 kickstarter I received earlier this year.

Moosotaur, Greebo Troll and som gobbos

Players for a Chaos Pact team; Troll, Dark elf and a Moosotaur.

The troll is from Greebo, the dark elf (not sure) and the Moosotaur is from Eurobowl 2016. The moose is sculpted by the Kalle (Gimpen) who also has made the beautiful Ogre team available from Impact. He has done a lot of other stuff, super punch troll and some goblins. The dwarves I do hope get some wider spread some day, we´ll see.

The team that they are joining are wearing purple and are generally darker. Thats what I went for. Mostly glazing and washing apart from the metal parts. Quite fun.
Looking forward to painting my own moosotaurs soon. Really happy with how the horns turned out.

Next up are gobbos, completing an Orc team.

The first three from left are John pickfords sculpts, from wargames foundry/Warmonger miniatures. The last one is greenstuffed.
The NAF trophy was won in febuary, not by me but by the team that the goblins are completing the savage orc themed team I painted earlier.

Orctober pt 2 -a wizard and three lesser greenskins plus a hat and prone-stunned troll marker

So it’s here, the week of the bloodbowl tournament.

The final preparation of miniatures has been made (I think).

Here are three goblins (from Foundry/Warmonger sculpted by Kevin Adams) and a Wizard inducement I’ve done myself.

Next weekend is the EuroBowl and EurOpen in Örebro, I’m really excited. Together with jox and kaju we’ll be competing as Borlänge Fantastisk Foul.

Also bloodbowl.com seems to be up and running, indicating that a release of the new edition is coming soon. Can’t wait.
