Players for a Chaos Pact team; Troll, Dark elf and a Moosotaur.

The troll is from Greebo, the dark elf (not sure) and the Moosotaur is from Eurobowl 2016. The moose is sculpted by the Kalle (Gimpen) who also has made the beautiful Ogre team available from Impact. He has done a lot of other stuff, super punch troll and some goblins. The dwarves I do hope get some wider spread some day, we´ll see.

The team that they are joining are wearing purple and are generally darker. Thats what I went for. Mostly glazing and washing apart from the metal parts. Quite fun.
Looking forward to painting my own moosotaurs soon. Really happy with how the horns turned out.

Next up are gobbos, completing an Orc team.

The first three from left are John pickfords sculpts, from wargames foundry/Warmonger miniatures. The last one is greenstuffed.
The NAF trophy was won in febuary, not by me but by the team that the goblins are completing the savage orc themed team I painted earlier.

Orcseses, a moosotaur, a talisman troll and lessons learnt from EuroBowl

A couple of more sort of greenskins done for mostly my team Vilda OrchIdéer.
All minis are from Wargames Foundry, from left a lineman, turn counter, a chef, fan factor and finally a possible apo. Either way, a rather impressive sideline figure that one.

Next is the mini I got from participating in the EurOpen at EuroBowl. A moosotaur, sculpted by the massively talented Gimpen/Kalle. (He´s also have done the superpunch troll, some amazing ogres, a beautiful goblin team and I do really hope that he casts up his dwarves.)

He isn´t painted yet, but will probably eventually join my future chaos or chaos pact team.

I had so much fun that weekend, it was the second time that I brought Orcs to a tournament. Finished 52nd out of 90 coaches with 2-2-2 record. But I´m quite satisfied nonetheless, at least two of the games were rather close and I didn´t make too many obvius mistakes. Next time I´ll probably put the two guard on the blitzers and frenzy on the last blitzer instead of block on one of the black orcs. If I go with orcs that is, it might be a while though. I really need to figure out how to beat Dark Elves though, as of today I haven´t been able to do that yet. I might have to try them out myself perhaps but I fear that I won´t be so succesful since I really like the assassins and as I understand that they aren´t that good. But they´re supposed to be bad, right?

Next up is the talisman troll, from 1994. (TL 5) His company from the blister is a ghoul, which will probably join my Undead team as the fourth ghoul. This troll is quite small, but a perfect fan factor or something similar. Could be score counter also.

Tomorrow the new edition of the game will be published, BB 2016. I´m really looking forward to it. The release of DeathZone (the first supplement) has a strong Elven focus. I´m dabbling with some dark elves but haven´t really found the exact colors for them yet.
The planning for the minis and the background is more or less diecided upon though.

Also there´s been some collecting of odds and bits in order to outline a High Elf/Pro Elf (Elven Union now) team. I think they will turn out nice, but they are somewhat more down the assembly line. Before that is the human team from the box I believe.

Orctober pt 3 – Bloodbowl Orc Team – Vilda OrchIdéer

Maybe my fifth Orc team, but I sold one earlier this year (the Savage orc themed team) to Skuld and parts of these miniatures are also doubling as Ogres.

So it’s ok. Plus, the upcoming tournament will be held in a castle.

The majority of minis are from wargames foundry/warmonger and sculpted by Kevin Adams. The gobbos are proper bloodbowl players from 2nd edition I believe, late eighties. Same sculptor though. The coach is different, and the troll as well as the wizard inducement are done by me.

The name is a pun, combining the swedish word for orc and for idea which make it sound like Orchidea. Hence, the player names are either relating to flowers or political thinkers. But they are also orcs in fancy dresses that I’m bringing to a castle.

Team creation was 1100k, with 6 normal skills for Orcs. I went with 4 Black orcs (block, block, guard, guard), 4 blitzers (sure hands), 1 lineman (wrestle), 3 goblins a troll and three re-rolls.

We’ll see how it goes…

Agents and orcs

With the EurOpen tournament soon it’s about time to finish the team.

But I got sidetracked and finished four agents first. These could all be employed by Hawkins Energy Department or any other dodgy government agency.

Or body guards, or sentries. One of them could be a PI I guess. They’ll be useful in lots of missions. Minis are from Wargames Foundry. They are part of Juno’s crew in their Street Violence range. And also, if you havent seen Stranger Things on Netflix you really should.

Finally here’s two blitzers for my orc team.
More on the team in upcoming posts.

This brings the count for painted minis in 2016 up to 39.
It is good but I really need to pick up the pace.

I’ve also kind of sorted out my paints in order to make it easier to find the ones I need.

BloodBowl Ogre team – Ferlangen Jaded Serpents

What´s this? Chaos Ogres? In BloodBowl? Never heard of them. Yeah it´s not an official team per se, but bear with me. There is one available in the Chaos Pact team right and it´s not as if Chaos Ogres are totally unheard of in the Warhammer Universe, in the Old World that is. What´s transpiring in the bubbly realms that is called AoS I don´t know.

So it´s an Ogre team, dedicated to the Chaos God Slaanesh. Ostland is the most ogrepopulated province in the Empire so that is where they recide. Ferlangen is a small town in the Ostland province of the Empire. It´s mostly known as a trading town and has an abundance of antique shops, but also the famous Brewery of Sam Bugman.
Perfect place for a Slaaneshi Ogre Team right?

Here is a background thing I did for the Team Cup here in Stockholm 9-10 of April.

Jaded Sepents Team Background for stc 16 skärmdumpTurned out alright I think. In the team cup I´ll be joining forces with Pidpad, kaju and jox and the idea behind the cup is to focus on the performance of the team as a whole rather than the individual coaches. They did one last year, but I wasn´t able to participate then.
I think it will be great fun.

The Ogres are based on 40K Nobz and Badruks Flash gitz.

The second one from the right is greatly inspired by the old Hackflem Skuttlespike, I call him Gobblewhip Ripfiend. He will probably be a warpstone troll later on, when this team transforms into an Underworld one. Well, that is the current plan at least.

Here are the markers, new addition is the whfb chaos familiar second from left.

Here are some more sideline staff:

Left to right, apo, cheerleader and coach.

The apo is a secret admirer well known in society. But Slaanesh has followers everywhere. The miniature is found from Casting Room miniatures (an offspring from wargames foundry) and they are called Plague doctors. The snake on the base are from the whfb lizard swarm.

The cheerleader, forming the firm Järvens Espingar is an not-Bob-ogre made by Hungry Troll. The coach have I witten about earlier here.

And here they are, the team in full:

Chaos Goblins!

Painted miniatures 15-23 for the year, let me present:

Slaanesh devotees, since the crab is sacred. Hail to the Serpent!

These chaps will ultimately be the backbone in my future Underworld team for BloodBowl, but first another assignment awaits. Since number six is sacred by Slaaneshi cultists, these first six chaps form one of the covens for this Bloodbowl team in particular, counting as snotlings statwise. The seventh goblin is the waterboy/bloodweiser babe of the team.

From left to right Spasmwobble the Nimble, Bendbowel and Flushfume

The miniatures are from http://castingroomminiatures.com/collections/goblins

It´s an offspring from Wargames Foundry, they are sculpted by John Pickford.

From left to right: Rabidfist, Maggotspittle, Fondlefiddler and the waterboy

These two are markers for turn and re-roll and possible if there are any touchdowns for the team. The models are Grenadier from their AD&D range “2012 Dwellers below“, a Beholder and an Otyugh. The Otyugh is being somewhat restrained by an orcling from Wargames Foundry (a Kevin Adams sculpt).
Otyugh and the Beholder is about as old as me, casted in the early eighties.

Next up, some chaotic ogres probably…

BloodBowl Ogre Team – Suffering Turnogres

“Even though they are fairly new on the Blood Bowl scene, the team seems to have a quite realistic view on how they’ll do.
Maybe not the players themselves though, as they’ve all chosen more or less impressive names.”

A rennaisance themed Ogre Team? Yes indeed. A great joy to paint them, they are made by Kevin “Goblinmaster” Adams, the snots also. He worked for GW in the eighties and made the Snotling Pump Wagon for instance. Here´s more info on Kev.

The snots were procured from GW and the Ogres from Wargames Foundry, they´ve made a special site dedicated for these chaps called Warmonger. I really really want to buy these orcling scouts but sadly I havent found any practical use for them. Yet. It is not specifically designed for BloodBowl, I just saw them and realised that I needed them. And since I´m basically only playing BloodBowl at the moment, that´s what they needed to be.
The snots were found in a box in the basement. I have a great pile of Orcs & Goblins stuff from my WHFB days, these chaps used to be the crew of the Snotling Pump Wagon (an older version).

The team has been participating in the open season and the so called Silly Season in our local League. Theyve had a rough start to say the least, in nine games theyve lost no less than three ogres, thats equal to 420 gc. I´ve still won 4 games though, so somehow they´re pulling it off. The plan is to expand them to also double as an orc team, then the first four ogres will be black orcs.

They´ve also been to two tournaments, Närkebowl in Örebro and GothBowl in Gothenburg.

The passed out gobbo on the shroom is a reroll marker, the goblin in the evening gown with the meat cleaver is the apothecary.

Hope you like them, I surely do. If you want to follow them and see how they perform on the pitch, you can visit them here.
