Orctober – Badland Rockerz – Bloodbowl Orc team

Azazel runs Orctober this year, a perfect opportunity to finish the team I failed to complete last year because of reasons.

Here they are, 2nd ed. 4 black orcs, 4 blitzers, 2 lineorcs and a thrower.

There is also a 40k grot ammo runt that serves as the Bloodweiser keg inducement.

The troll is a rock troll I sculpted in greenstuff, wanted it to have a proper Badlands vibe.

Skyla´s Unikhornes – Bloodbowl Khorne team

I´ve signed up for our local league this autumn, will be fielding a rookie Khorne team.
Here´s the roster:

My bloodthirster is part rat ogre, part tyranid carnifex and part heroquest gargoyle.
For pit fighters I´ve gone with Goliaths from Necromunda (from both starter sets).
The bloodletter is a converted Tzeentch Horror which I´ve added a horned skeleton head. The next bloodletter is part of the bloodbowl28challenge I´m adressing in the previous post.
More pics will follow when I´ve painted them a bit more, but here are some:

Two games into the season I´ve won one and drew the second one.
It is  a challenging team this one, that it for sure.

Tsar Strucked Ohlsdorfers – Khemri team

I´ve made a Khemri team, out of the 3rd edition Champions of the undead box. Or boxes since I´m going with 4 mummies/ tomb guardians.
In the Stirland province, close to the Haunted Hills, there is a small village called Ohlsdorf. The background story behind the team is that an entrepeneurial necromancer has been doing some recruiting in the hills.

Plan is to bulk out the team with werewolves, ghouls, zombies and flesh golems so that the team also can be fielded as Shambling Undead as well as Necromantic Horrors.
Here they are as Khemri though:

And some of the players in close-up:

I´ve also made a Starplayer, Ithaca Benoin.
Main parts are from plastic wardancer (legs and shoulder pad), skull is from GW Skulls box and helmet is from a 3rd ed Dark Elf lineman.

For re-rolls and turn markers I´ve used regular Warhammer mummies.

Road to the tsars!

This weekend I’m joining a Bloodbowl tournament.

It will be awesome, bringing a Khemri team, Tsar Strucked Ohlsdorfers.

Plan to do a proper post on that team soon, here are some wip shots of my coach model, Pointy McPointface. Not nearly done, three nights left but hey; its fitting an khemri player to be nocturnal I guess.

Im also doing Ithaca Benoin. Its un undead former Dark Elf turned Starplayer.

Bloodbowl Head couch?

Trying out an idea here, not sure if it works. But most likely this will be my couch model for my badland rockerz team. It’s a wip, based on a two-part silicone mould clay and a bad pun.

Ive also made moulds for my rock troll, in proper rtv silicone. Will try some casting in a few days when they have cured.

Apart from this, rest of stuff focuses on Necromunda. But more on that in later posts.

Press molded silicone ghost pirate

Youngest nephew loves pirates, so I made special one for his birthday. Good fun was had and he seems to have liked it.

Summertime means usually less painting and more gaming, this year is not an exception.

I’ve reopened my 40K boxes and even played with the new rules, kind of likes them.

Plan is also to finish the shadow war Armageddon team as well as start a new warband for AoS.

Picking up 40k again meant opportunity to actually paint up some scenery that’s been unpainted for over 20 years, here’s some wip:

Today a box of goodies from reaper miniatures arrived, since I backed their bones 3 kickstarter two years ago. The to-be-painted pile is growing fast, but that’s ok though.

Moosotaur, Greebo Troll and som gobbos

Players for a Chaos Pact team; Troll, Dark elf and a Moosotaur.

Players for a Chaos Pact team; Troll, Dark elf and a Moosotaur.

The troll is from Greebo, the dark elf (not sure) and the Moosotaur is from Eurobowl 2016. The moose is sculpted by the Kalle (Gimpen) who also has made the beautiful Ogre team available from Impact. He has done a lot of other stuff, super punch troll and some goblins. The dwarves I do hope get some wider spread some day, we´ll see.

The team that they are joining are wearing purple and are generally darker. Thats what I went for. Mostly glazing and washing apart from the metal parts. Quite fun.
Looking forward to painting my own moosotaurs soon. Really happy with how the horns turned out.

Next up are gobbos, completing an Orc team.

The first three from left are John pickfords sculpts, from wargames foundry/Warmonger miniatures. The last one is greenstuffed.
The NAF trophy was won in febuary, not by me but by the team that the goblins are completing the savage orc themed team I painted earlier.

Bloodbowl Dark Elf Team – Malal Temple Dogs

Based on the Naggaroth Nightmares from 3rd edition, these models are quite iconic I’d say. They bring the total painted figure up to 26 for the year, which is quite good but also means I’d have to step it up a bit to reach the three-digit-goal.

The team is devotees of the lesser Chaos God Malal, thats why they have b/w skulls. The mascot is a Citadel Temple Dog, the assassins is an older whfb dark elf assassin and a 2nd ed Bloodbowl Elf which has been given a night goblin scimitar from the older plastic regiment box. The coach is a dark elf corsair from way back, he’s been weapon snipped and been given a greenstuffed book. One of the linemen is a 2nd ed runner.

Here are some of the positionals:

The team has already been fielded on the pitch, a friend borrowed them last Saturday when we tried his roster for the upcoming NAFC in Nottingham. Good fun was had.

Next paint project wont be batchpainting a twentyfold squad, thats for sure.
